Event Suggestion - The Great Vagabond Event

This Vagabond Event was made from 06th February 2010 ~ 18th September 2011 and was sent to the GamesCampus GMs FC3S, Venus and Gamma on the 18th September 2011. I told them they could use it without to give me anything in return for it, however, I don't think they are familiar with sarcasm.

I actually wanted to keep it secret so that it will make much more fun for the participants, but since it appears that GamesCampus does not have any interest and/or intention to use it, I've decided to reveal it here on our forum. You may bug them and ask for it if you wish.

I'm certain you will notice the difference between an interesting event which is about quality (this one) and a boring event which is about quantity (Acclaim's big Vagabond Event). Once again, I have to mention that Acclaim's GMs used some of my ideas for their Vagabond Event, like the requirement level and the Vagabond Quiz.

Everything following after these lines was written in the document I've sent to GamesCampus.

Note: The maker of this big Vagabond Event allows GamesCampus to use every idea in it, on the condition that
A) nothing in the event will be changed, except by talking with the maker and finding something what would be pleasant to both parties,
B) the maker is allowed to hold the event together with GamesCampus, and
C) the maker will have the opportunity to receive the rewards on his Vagabond character as well.

Background Informations

A big Vagabond Event should be handled big, as something special and unique. The better a publisher supports it, the more players will realize so and stop harassing vagabond players, simply for the way they play the game.

Steven-Elliot Altman aka The Hermit said already in 2007 that there would be vagabond-only in-game content. Here is a screenshot of it:

After more and more interest came up for vagabond-only content, they answered this as well as many other questions in one of Acclaim's Webinar. They said, according to the developer Indy21, there will indeed be vagabond-only content what would count in-game as clan, and that this would arrive before the advanced clans.

Some vagabond players who still remember these things, they still believe in it, some others do not. Many others don't even remember.

This event could be something special and unique, a one-time thing. To get the most out of it, a good background story and role-playing would be necessary. I think, especially the vagabond players would enjoy it if this would be something like a "fight for it" event – "If you want an official in-game vagabond role, then do your best and pass the tests".

My Vagabond Event is made out of 10 parts. Each one of the part will hold a test from one of the nine clans, the 10th part will be a task from The Vagabond himself. Each event part is something new, something own. Because the most of Acclaim's event parts were just about collecting thousands of items and did not really have a point, it was boring for the participants. Many finished the Vagabond Event only because of the rewards from Acclaim – Rewards like +300 damage wristbands with 2 slots, permanent Rising Dragon deco with 4 slots, or three 2nd role active clan skills.

The rewards I've chosen for this event may not be as awesome as Acclaim's rewards were, but they are rewards I think the Vagabonds could need and enjoy. There are some clan skills as well, but not the best ones like 2nd role skills.

When GM Ravenclaw asked me back then what level the requirement for the Vagabonds should be, I answered: “Elemental Crown 4, level 100. If you achieve the first level with three numbers as a Vagabond, you will know if you're a True Vagabond.” I want to keep this level requirement, level Elemental Crown 4 (100).

I implemented myself in this event as well because I would like to hold an event for the Vagabonds in 9Dragons. In case GamesCampus would like to hold this event, I would like to help to hold it as well.

Event Start

As soon as it would be published in the forum that there will be a big Vagabond Event, it should be something like this (a lot of role-playing is included):

My Master, The Vagabond himself, managed to get each clan's Master to agree to give the vagabonds one test. Many hard tasks will be there for you to face, therefore, every Vagabond who wants to participate has to be at least level Elemental Crown 4 (100).

When everyone is there, an invisible GM starts to spawn some bosses. At this time, Legend says to the participants:

Advanced Lightfoot

Indy21 needs to implement the Peng You Lightfoot or another advanced vagabond lightfoot technique in-game again. If Indy21 refuses to do so before this event, we could change the rewards between part 10 and another part, to receive then the advanced lightfoot technique from another clan.

I must say that I am answering late to this but...I was actually daydreaming about your event and I did not realise they are not doing this.

This would be a very good event indeed and I still hope that in the near future,Vagabonds will be recognised as the true neutral way in The Land

Yes,we are the ones that are truly neutral.Haters from the forums only comment that Vagabond is not a role because they know nothing more than hating and flaming others,not bothering to read 9Dragon's story to learn who was the real one to put a stop to battles.
The Vagabond Zhongyuan Langke was that person.When I first started playing The Path Less Taken,my goal was to make more people join this path,to prove everyone that being a Vagabond means peace and not Clan related conflicts(wow this game really has a catchy story).
